Over the last few weeks, I've finally gotten my back handspring on the low beam with a beam-thickening mat on. The mat makes the beam around 6-inches thick and is soft.

Now that I have my back handspring somewhat on the beam, I'm unsure where I should go from here. When I put panel mats on the sides of the beam, my hands always miss the beam, and there's no sign of them getting closer, no matter how many times I do it, or how hard I try.

What should I do now? What steps should I take to get my back handspring on the high beam? My season is in a month!

Thanks in advance :p

I will be competing level 6 in the winter season (very soon!!)

I would like to get this skill as quickly as possible.
You don't need it for level 6. it is just one option for beam acro at level 6. I too am confused that your coaches are not giving you more direction on learning the skill though.
