    WAG Level 9 tumbling passes

I've seen both. Two passes is less common. I would listen to the coach. Two passes can be beneficial if your daughter has a strong double back (or other D-rated salto) and/or a two salto pass so she can receive bonus. It could be also good if she has good dance elements.

    WAG HOPES

There are many approaches to the elite path, and I firmly believe that there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to the elite track. The typical age to start the elite path would be around 7-8. If doing TOPs, maybe even at 6. I'm not the biggest fan of TOPs because I feel like it puts too...

Off Topic Ideas on how to make money

You could do dog-walking or do odd jobs (such as lawn mowing) for your neighbors. You could have a garage sale with your old things. If you're creative, you can start a small business selling jewelry, crochet projects or crafts. Baby-sitting is a good idea of you are good with kids.

Parents Try out for 6 year old

She's six, at this age gymnastics is a fun sport. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. I would tell her that she's going to the gymnastics gym tomorrow and the coaches there are going to look at her skills. You shouldn't prepare her, if the coaches are trying her out for team at age 6, it means...

    Parents Competing in shorts

Competing in shorts has become more popular in the recent years. I would say about 90% of teenagers wear shorts to practice, but that number is way smaller in competition. Most teens in Xcel wear shorts. It's quite rare to see shorts in DP.

    WAG Vaults getting worse?

Is it possible that you had a growth spurt? I have seen this happen to many girls ages 13-17 and it's only because your body is growing and might need some time to get used to doing skills.

    WAG Level 9 beam questions

Would this routine meet all of the composition requirements? What would the start value be?: Full turn; back handspring, back layout step-out series; switch-leap, wolf jump connection; back tuck; split jump, beat jump connection; back handspring step out, back handspring, back layout dismount.

    WAG Level 9 beam questions

Would a handstand on beam fulfill the front/side acro requirement in level 9? If not, any ideas on how to fulfill this requirement? She is not flexible enough to do a front walkover or front aerial.

    WAG Creative floor routines!

Just a fun thread: what are some unique and creative floor routines that you have enjoyed watching? From Classics I loved Nola Matthews' creepy floor. Some of the Juniors have had interesting choreography too (Ella Kate Parker and Cora Burke's had unique music choices and felt unexpected...
