Grip strength is good, although our gym doesn't have a rope. I always stand between/under the bars to catch, so she's never been injured; just afraid. Generally the peel happens after a few tap swings in a row.

My entire time competing I was barely an A and went braless... until my senior year. I had to wear 3 camisole GK-style sports bras to rein in DD's. I looked like the Michelin man! Not fun. I have since found that Champion makes an excellent one (easy to find on their website), and I second Panache.
My boss (HC) is a police officer- our gymnastics academy is very successful even with his schedule. He is incredibly busy doing both, you will need to prepare for that. He also isn't coaching full-time. But it is do-able.
I will be resuming competitive training again very soon- 16 hours per week. Unfortunately, practice ends when meal hall closes, so I will miss dinner. Meal hall is mostly junk anyway, and with greater access to appliances now, I can avoid it more often than I was previously able. Good riddance...
