Would a back step out on the beam verses two connected back walkovers potentially score higher in xcel platinum. I read something in another forum about the back step out being so fast that it’s harder for the judges to see deductions verses the two walkovers being slower. Curious if this is true.

Judges see way faster things than a single BHS on beam--they can see deductions in it. The main benefits of a BHS versus BWO BWO are: (1) you can build more on a BHS stepout for future levels, and (2) your question assumes that the BWO BWO are actually connected--if they're not, you totally lose the skill requirement, and they may not be either of the gymnast isn't great at fluidly connecting or if the first BWO is off.
