On a Giant Diamodov on Parallel Bars would you instruct the gymnast to kick the giant upwards or over? Two different techniques, wondering thoughts from anyone who has performed or coached them.......Personally I think a giant that goes over is much more suited then upwards however I have heard the two ways used successfully....your opinions?

Hi

I think it really depends on what is to follow. If you are conecting it to something like giant diamidov giant, then i would kick over a little just! a little though never really totaly kicking over like on a high bar giant. This because at the end of the day you the vertical force to be strong to make the skill easier to execute rather then it dying out of the steam vertically and then all the weight falling on the hand.

So that is my thought on that..
