It has been FOREVER since I have posted on here. I do still come and lurk at times. Life has been so crazy hectic...especially over the summer with the kids out of school. But they started back on the 19th (thank you Lord..lol) and now Mama can finally get some time to herself.
Hope everyone is...
Never seen it set up like this. At DD gym they will sometimes place a 4 inch safety mat (I hope I am calling it the right thing...lol) at the backside of the table. The mat stands on its end/side so it sticks up over the end of the table by about 6 -12 inches (seeing it from across the gym, so...
Thank you again. My DD is a L5, so this is the first year that she is competing where it really "counts" persay.
That being said, this is her 3 rd year competing...and we have only been to three meets where this was the case, and then only on floor. Anywhere else, and at all meets for other...
I just have a quick question. Many are thinking, impossible for me, I know..lol
But some meets we go to there are two judges tables on floor. Some both judges sit at the same table.
When there are two tables..who do they salute when they are done?
Do they salute both judges..either judge..the...
WTG to her for meeting her own personal goals. And good for her for overcoming fears. Sounds like a pretty great meet. Putting scores aside.
And now she has a fire under her bottom to "not let that happen again".
Well..this meet went MUCH better..lol

Vault, 1st
Bars, 3rd (missed that dang high bar kip..again. Got it EVERYTIME in warm up..lol)
Beam, 4th (fell on her handstand (of all...
I brought it up with the Dr. too..just to make sure she didn't have anything funky going on there (because she does sweat a lot). He said pretty much said the same thing your doctor told you about your DD.
It's just from being so dry from the chalk and from the "excessive" use. (not really...
Thank you everyone for the advice.
Her feet aren't peeling deep either..at least not yet.
But I worry because as a kid my feet did the same thing (I practically lived at the city pool in the summer) but would get so bad they would peel real deep and crack. I don't want hers getting to that...
I have never heard of a ribbon deduction. But if it was a distraction to the judges..how is it the kids fault that they (the judges) have ADD? Have you guys figured out how to keep them from "distracting" the judges for the next meet?
And I agree..there are good judges and bad judges.
At one...
Okay, my DD (7), her feet are peeling. Mainly the balls and the heels. (more the balls than anything)
She has VERY sweaty feet and hands, and is constantly in the chalk trying to keep her hands and feet "dry".
I pointed out her sweat issue and her peeling feet to the Dr. Wanted to make sure she...
