The front half of the left side of her head is very bald- there is more loss around the head but the loss is literally where a headband would sit. For now we are working with elastic bandanas. I will have to figure out options for competition.

She would have to go completely bald unfortunately. She is not willing to do this.

Can I ask how that hides hair loss?

They are giving her wiggle room cause she has lost nearly 50% of her hair. They personally have not had a gymnast with alopecia, so they are about as clueless as we are.

My kiddo who is Xcel Silver developed alopecia a few months ago. She has lost too much hair for her to desire to put in a ponytail, but has enough hair it is getting in her face for practices. Any suggestions for thick athletic hairbands suitable for a 9 year old, or athletic head coverings so...

And she is still getting 35AA… She does like the videos as she misses stuff unless she can review it. Her gym does a lot of videos too but not for competitions. Hopefully training more once meets are done will help solidify the skills! Thank you!

My 8 year old daughter is having a great first season competing XB! She loves it and is managing solid 35s AA. Her biggest challenge area is general sloppiness and performance appearance. Especially on floor. Her arms flap around, she takes lots of extra hops, and she struggles to smile/look...

She does that part fine, it is the jumping off with her hands where she struggles.

My kiddo is really struggling with just her round off. Her brain cannot fathom the switch from cartwheel. I hope once meets are done she can focus more on honing this skill- really hurts her floor scores.

Seriously so glad to know it is not just me but the other team moms know who to find if they want to see them, at least?!
