    Cartwheel Fundraiser!

So this year is my school's anniversary (125 years old) and one of the things we are doing is using our talents to raise money for a school building project in Kenya. Each person has to come up with an individual way of using their talents to raise money so I thought of...cartwheels. However I...

    WAG Aliya Mustafina is injured!

I had this injury a few years ago (same knee and everything) and it was nine months from when I injured it that I was back to my full training hours again. I still have PT every week on it but I have no restrictions in which moves I can do. I sometimes still get a bit of instability in that knee...

    Weighing your gymnasts?

At my old club we had a weigh in once a week and it was the sort of stressful "oh my gosh have i gained a quarter of a pound??!!" sort of thing. It would end up that all the girls were careful not to eat too much on the night before weigh ins, we wouldnt eat breakfast or drink until after the...

Emily was cleared by the ortho today!

I tore my ACL and had it reconstructed just over 4 years ago now. After the rehab after the op I had to get a CTI custom brace (big carbon fibre thing) that I wore in training for about a year. I didn't tend to wear it on bars unless I was specifically training dismounts but I always wore it on...

How to get rid of a bad habit??

I use to and because we do it without really realising it, it's hard to stop. My coach ended up stopping my music every single time I did it in training and making me start over. In the end you get so sick of it you won't do it. Of course you then concentrate on your tongue more than the routine...

Thank you everybody! I didn't realise those video had already been put up! And Bog, I agree it is an incredible oppurtunity and I still can't quite believe I've actually been representing my country at these competitions. We did an autograph signing and I have never had a more surreal...

    Well its happened

At 16 I finally got mine in April  and even though I'm much older and it's much easier to deal with it was still scary. I love the ice cream and nails idea, a great way to take her mind off it! I agree with the book idea for getting used to tampons, it's certainly easier to study it...
