Well pull overs, front hip circles, back/front walkovers, back handsprings, splits, handstands. Does she take direction well, how she does with conditioning... having your daughter work on her splits over the next week or so is always a good idea but really talk to her about her confidence and...
Have her wear her competition bun or hairstyle for a few practices before her first meet. That way she can practice with what it feels like and you can practice with her you need to fix it to make it tighter if it falls out !
I wAs going to say that too. Demand a medical 504 and get her some help with cushy Chairs, text books at home and in classes so she’s not lugging them around... will also cover her for doctors appts and bad days when she needs to be home.
One of my daughters is also a young 6 and is competing level 3 this year.
When she was first on team I did stay. But now I do not. Please stay as long as you or your daughter need.
My girls eat dinner when Home from school. So yes their bellies are full but that’s always worked for them...
My girls are not at a level where they are affected by this. I hope that all the girls, families and gyms that are directly affected can find support to get through this next step and can find some light at the end of the tunnel.
My 9 year old did a women’s gym camp at A college this past summer and loved it. Not sure what she learned new, but very much loved the experience. The women’s gymnasts were involved in the camp.
