    I think you've gotten lots of helpful advice but in response to what you said in your initial post I would add that I wouldn't say "we look for talent" (implying her daughter doesn't have talent....even if it is true. ..the mom will understand from everything else you're saying that you don't...

    As I understand it though the individual gymnast that places in the top 24 earns the Olympic berth, not her country. ...so in the fairly unlikely event that one of these girls makes the top 24, BEL wouldn't even be allowed to reallocate that spot to the promising junior. ..instead the AO girl...

    WAG Korbut Flick instead of BH

    Korbut to BER is a really cool series idea. I guess you have to make sure you keep your momentum going from the Korbut ....otherwise how could you pop up into the handstand? I'm not sure I'd call one easier. I have never and probably will never do a BH on beam but I would guessfor me the scary...

    Lol for some reason that made me laugh even though it's not funny really - just an absurd image in my mind. The only sane reason I can imagine for that is because you want to look very serious and intimidate the other teams but at what cost:-(
