When my daughter started at 4, she was terrified of doing a summersault, so the coach just had her do a pencil roll or something else until she was ready. She ended up joining preteam at 5, so she definitely got over it.
Thanks everyone for your comments. I did end up talking to the head coach and things improved basically overnight. No more conditioning to that level is happening and my daughter is really happy to go to practice again.
