Parents When / How long is your season?

Our xcel begins Dec and goes to May depending on State and Regional qualifications. If not qualified it would end in April. We have traveled in the past but a lot of our team doesn’t go out of state. This year there is one out of state meet outside the normal Regional meet. Only a handful of...

Parents how do we stand out hosting first meet?

Kids like to put things on their water bottles now. So stickers would be fun. Giving something that will be used multiple times vs a one time has always been bigger for us. Example - we sells more cups with our meet info on it than a flower to give at the end. As far from a parent...

    Parents Mock meets

Our gym is smaller and they only held a mock meet for levels and excluded xcel. Which could have been done given our size of xcel. I mean less than a handful of Golds, 2 Platinum, less than a dozen silvers. But idk I think I’m annoyed that I it could have been done and not sure why it wasn’t...

    Parents Mock meets

Does your gym only hold mock meets for only one program or if they do hold a mock meet do they hold it for both programs?

    Parents Bars Deduction

Is there a deduction for the bars being closer together? This would be for Xcel.

365 Days Until The 2024 Paris Olympics

Paralympics? Side bar - my DD does gymnastics but my son is a wheelchair sports player (many sports). We love be both worlds. My sons team has someone who is going to Paris as well.

    Parents Petitioning

Does anyone have experience petitioning to go from Xcel to JO? Age wise, she is allowed to go to Level 6 or 7 from what I’m reading. Her coach mentioned it before but we left a pin on it. I wouldn't purse it until she made the RBHS connection consistently anyway.

Parents Right Decision - College Camp

Ok. Slightly overthinking probably but my daughter is in middle school and finishing out Silver. She is moving to Gold after states is done. I signed her up for a college gym camp. YAY! But now I am overthinking that she might be the only one there her age in that level. A camp isn't a...

    Parents College Gymnastics

Apologies. Athletically. But it appears that this would be rare by any means and not a usual circumstance. Most enter college gymnastics when they enter college. Not enter college - then await a year then request to join for whatever reason. Again it seems like this rare and unlikely but...

    Parents College Gymnastics

It does. Sorry. I thought after I posted that I was a little vague and unclear. In short, if you want to be considered to compete at college level you need to do so your freshman year of college. You can’t delay until sophomore or junior to be considered. Correct?

    Parents College Gymnastics

Silly question maybe but when you apply , can you only apply to enter as a freshman or can you apply later in college? I am thinking only as a freshman but I figured I would ask.

Parents What to expect at College Camp?

I didn’t see any the ones I looked at. Basically east coast VA and surrounding states.

Parents What to expect at College Camp?

The one we are going to is a day camp 9-5 for 2 days and 9-12 last day.

Parents What to expect at College Camp?

My DD is going to a college camp this summer. What should she expect? Disclaimer : She is a XCEL gymnast and will be moving to Gold after the State Meet in May. She will be going to 9th grade next year in the fall. Likelyhood of even being a walk-on is slim to none which we know that going...
