I would assume this is beam. IT really prefers which you better at but I would do a back handspring back tuck because there smoother and you can do a step together which is easier than a roundoff.
First off that's how I was I had my kip for a day then I lost it then I had it etc... You won't just get it and have it you work up your repetition and eventually you will get the feel of it and one day you'll just be able to do it without trying. Also about your coach tell her that everybody...
Because I love doing gymnastics at the beach and seeing people stare lol, it's fun being able to show off my skills. And in the summer I wear a tanktop and you see my muscles!!!
This is coming from a L10 gymnast: whenever I did skills on beam, they had to count by getting the foot to touch the beam. When you do a full turn try to get 360 around if you know you're going to fall off tap the beam with your foot and it should count. That's how it was for me in L8.
How I learned mine was to have a stack of mats underneath the high bars so the floor is close then have somebody spot you. Each time you get it by your self safely remove a mat, when you remove a mat have someone spot you so you don't overrotate, just work down to a stingray mat or something...
When I was in level 8, I'm now L10 we had one connected skill: bhs bhs, a leap, full turn, jump combination, and a flight dismont which I did a front tuck. and dance
For me when I was learning it my problem was I was pushing my butt out, so make sure you stretch your back handspring out and focus on reaching up and not sticking your butt out.
Where I'm from you have to have 6 meets with a 36.0 or higher to qualify, usually, there are about 25 girls per session. I do excel gymnastics and for me, states got more important when you got older especially diamond because it's the highest level, if you win you can go to regionals or...
At my gym, you have to be 8 or older to compete, but my gym trains above their skill requirement. When I was younger nothing was good especially vault because I had no power. Also when you get older it's easier to have more power but still controls it, and because she's starting at a young age...
At my gym how we learned them was to put a really big marshmallow mat underneath the high bar and do it on that and practice with fewer mats until she can't just do it on a sting mat or the normal mat.
So I am an excel gymnast and at my gym, you get grips when you get to Gold. I am practicing giants and flyaways and a lot of swinging movement. For, my team we have a brand that all my teammates have which is Bailie Dowel grips. Which is better velcro or buckles, if buckles single or double buckle?
