Thank you @raenndrops for your reply! That would make sense if the purpose was to encourage more twisting, though I agree that like the yurchenko full in NCAA, most probably won't change their vaults for such a small deduction. I know I won't anytime soon and I very rarely see any vaults other...
Hi,
I'm not sure if anyone else has already asked this question as I have not been on chalkbucket often as of late.
I was wondering about the reasoning behind devaluing the front handspring vault in Xcel Platinum to a 9.8 start value. Platinum is not equivalent to level 7, so why is our...
I had 300 Violins when I was in Xcel gold and have heard multiple other girls at meets with the same music. That being said, it never gets cut the exact same way so at least judges get some variety.
Hi!
I recently started coaching a few rec classes at my gym and wanted to know if I could please be added to the coach's forum. I would still like to remain in the gymnast forum also as I am still competing.
Thanks in advance!
Thank you so much for the response!! That is very helpful. I will look into those exercises! I have taken almost 2 months off of gymnastics because of this and the fact that you are pain free as an adult is very encouraging. Thanks again! :)
Sorry to drag up this thread, but I was hoping for more responses. If anyone/anyone's DD/DS has had a bulging disc, please let me know how it's doing!! I would love to hear any stories because there's not a whole lot of information out there about this injury for gymnasts and I really don't want...
I have just received the report for an MRI that I got Friday for my lower back. Obviously I will be seeing my orthopedic doctor and will listen to whatever he tells me, but I wanted to hear any success stories with this injury.
I have been diagnosed with normal lumbar lordosis and a posterior...
I feel pretty silly not knowing this, but is there a deduction for my coach standing there (but clearly not touching me) on my ROBT on floor? (Xcel platinum). Also, my coach stands in between the bars for my whole routine, that isn't a deduction anymore is it?
I don't have any experience with your ankle injury, (get better soon!!) but I've only been doing gymnastics (counting Rec) for 3 years and I've had a broken foot, broken wrist, sprained 2 fingers, sprained each ankle multiple times, sprained elbow (suspected OCD) and tendinitis in both elbows...
