    WAG Does your gym do this?

    Wow. I can just imagine how my daughter would feel. Its bad enough everyone knows "who didnt get a medal" if they take a team picture after the meet and there is no medal around the neck but then to do it in the gym too.

    She has been just taking the deductionns. We had a meet this past weekend and she competed 7 and only scored a 29

    We actually compete both. We have to follow both rules though. She struggled to achieve the 31 at Y meets also. Her last 6 meet at a Y she scored a 26. And we both know, that Y is a little easier.

    She does not have it and they just put something else into her routine and she takes the deduction.

    I do have all the scores from every meet. They are sent directly to me for record keeping. According to the USAG 2012-2013 rule book the move from 6 to 7 is a 31.

    How they are getting around that is not having her do any of the skills that she couldnt do in 6. No back tumbling, no BWO on the beam, no flyaway.

    She has competed as a level 7 this season. I know for our state meet each score needs to be verified but not for our local meets. I just sign the girls up according to their level. @ Kayjaybe I do have the whole story- i am in charge of scores ( after a meet I track who qualifies and who doesnt)...

    We are attending a large meet in Feb and the total cost is $133. $99 for registration and $34 for 2 adults and a child.

    My daughters gym just opened an adult gymnastics class. Its just a bunch of us team moms and some of the coaches. I joined just because everyone,esp my daughter, said I couldn't do it. I hate to admit it but I don't even know how to do a cartwheel! A volleyball was mine love and carry around...
