Hey, all! Some of you may remember my posting on here several months ago asking for suggestions as a self-taught gymnasts. In following the suggestions, I've been working lots of handstands and bridges and am a little more than halfway through a semester of ballet at the local college.

WHOA! :O
I don't follow gymnastics news most of the time, but this was surprising. It's kind of sad, but I honestly hope this isn't a case of Hollywood calling her name...or a pushy parent.
Update: Since the classes at the college have academic credits, I'm last in line for registration priority. Long story short, the Yoga class is already full; the other still has quite a few open spots. So, starting August 26, I'll be donning a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. :o
Thank you for the input, guys. :) Money is definitely a concern but I'm reluctant to self-teach anything else. Without a full-length mirror I can't check posture until after the fact with a video camera....the same problem I'm having with form on handstands and cartwheels. :( I'll do some more...

Correct, the only 'bars' and 'beam' I have access to are playground chin-up bars and random curbs or brick walls. No crash mats or even sand, just those splintery old wood chips. *shudders* I may make my own low beam for indoor use later, but until then....yeah. I like the pool idea. :D
Ah, OK. Thank you. I checked their website and couldn't find anything about adult gymnastics...but even if I did, the price tag just about made me faint. Gymnastics classes out here average about $45 a month. A year's worth of lessons would be much less (and probably worth more) than a...
