    split leaps

We do tramploline split jumps. For some reason, alot of times , they need to learn motion flexibility. It takes some time, but she will get it.

    Back Extension roll to handstand

We teach these down the wedge mat. Fingers inward, and palms to the ceiling. Once you roll back onto your flat hands, open up your arm pits. You are in a handstand.

At home program for L3 5yo?

I dont recommend strength at home because of poor form, but we always like our preteam to practice stretching. I especially like our kids to do shoulder (cat)stretches and splits. I cannot stress enough how many children are lacking proper shoulder flexibility.

    Help with my kip!!

Its all in the rhythm. Be sure to pull your toes up to the bar while you are naturally coming back from your glide. I , too, would work on basket swings to make sure that you arent breaking the flow of your swing. Good luck. Hang in there!!

    Headstands & other preschool skills

We only recommend bridges for smaller children, when their feet are elevated on a block. I much prefer teaching a handstand (walking feet up a padded wall) over headstands.

    Newbie with questions

dont get discouraged A agree that getting an answering machine isnt necessarily a bad thing. Gyms are notorious for being very hectic places. The front desk people are responsible for making sure that the kids get to the right classes, answering questions from people that are right there and...

    Let's Talk Leotards:o)

Personal preference We have been making custom leotards for over 20 years and aside from trends, personal preference is key. Fit is the most important "real" issue. Nobody wants to have a wedgie all of the time. Also, most gymnasts have a serious preference to the kind of fabrics they...
