I agree that the Diva cup (or similar) is great! I love mine!! But, I do think it would be a bit overwhelming for a girl that's having trouble with tampons.. if she feels up to trying, I'd recommend it, but otherwise, let her get used to tampons first.

Poor thing.. I would persist with tampons, she'll get the hang of it and it will be worth it to have her freedom back. Other option I guess is to talk to the coach and see if she can wear shorts over a leo and use a pad for that week. I would probably have been mortified to do it that way as...

I think you should call the gymnastics clubs in your area and see if you can join to do an adult class or similar. I believe Germany is generally quite well disposed towards adult gymnasts so I'm sure you'll find somewhere and have fun! Good luck!

Sure you can start late. You'll probably never be as good as the 8 year olds, but you can have fun trying! I started this year at 25 (never did gymnastics as a child), and am loving it. :)

I think the thing most gymnastics coaches would be worried about is you getting injured doing it. Otherwise, it should be great practice for your balance. I'm sure you'd love it - I had a friend in high school who was on the national vaulting team and as an ex-gymnast she really enjoyed it.

Woohoo, back to the gym today after 3 weeks away, I'm going to be sore tomorrow though. Argh, strength and flexibility seem to disappear so quickly!
