21 girls were on my DD'S original team old level 4. There are 4 left. 2 are training level 8 and 2 are training 7.

This has happened to my DD'S best friend. They are usally always in the same age group but some meets because of her birthday she will be put in the next group down. She usually always ties in vault with my daughter well at one meet, the one that she wasn't in the same age group she did not...

After practice tonight DD said that her coach had her practice a FHS-FP. If she does that well they will leave it if not they will put the switch leap back in cause she does that very well.

Her first meet her start value was a 10 but she aslo did do a switch leap. Her couch took out the switch leap and put in the FH-FT for the meet she just did. She did a split leap and a wolf jump.

Can someone please explain start values. My DD's start value on floor was 9.7. Her tumbling passes on floor are robhsbt and fhsft for level 6.

My DDs first gym closed mid season. Thankfully the gym we go to now knew about this and excepted the girls from that gym to their team without any issues.

Does anyone know anything about long thoracic nerve or winged scapula? My DD was just diagnosed with this.

Just curious on why you see some teams go up and greet the judges on each event. Does it help improve scores or anything? Our team doesn't greet them. At the meet this weekend I saw a few teams that did.

Thank you all for the good advice. My daughter is a "go with the flow" type of person. She hasn't really said anything until another girl on her team said something and then she asked me if it was true or not. I personally love her coaches but there are times when I feel just like the other moms...

If you and other moms felt that your DD's group is pretty much the "reject" group, the group that gets cast to the side. Would you express your concerns to the HC or just let it go in fear of becoming that crazy gym mom?

My dd had to repeat l4. At first I was so upset with the couches but she was lacking confidence and had fear issues too. She is in l6 now and I believe that holding her back was the best choice for her. She is stronger (mentally ) because of it.

Thanks for checking up... She hasn't said anything about it all day and went to practice and still hasn't complained, so I figure it is fine :)

I'm going through the same thing right now. My dd is twelve and she jammed her thumb doing a bhs on beam. It looks fine to me but she is acting like it's the end of the world. I told her to ice and rest it over the weekend and if it still hurts Monday I'll take her to the doctors.

Please add me, I homeschool 2 of my children.

What level is a switch leap required?
