Update: just wanted to let you know her X-Ray looked perfect! Dr. said he was very surprised, but it's just a bone bruise, which takes 6-8 weeks to completely heal. I'm so glad! She can still do gym, just needs to ice and take Motrin.
Also.... Camp emailed to check on her. I thought that was sweet.
Today was the last day of camp so she left today around noon. I didn't email last night since she was leaving today. She said it does feel better, but that she still can't walk on it 100% normal. I've already made her an appointment at our Dr, I will email them about their lovely trainer after...
Aww. That is awful. My daughter said they were nice, but she's in the L8,9,10 group. We have some college age coaches at our gym and they are not nice to the little ones either. I guess that age group struggles with being patient and nice to younger kids.
Well, her BFF from her gym committed to Iowa State for 2014 so she invited my daughter to go to camp with her. I was hesitant bc of the distance, but she really wanted to go and her coach encouraged her to go too. Last year she went to AL & before that GA & Flip Fest.
I did fill out all the required forms and they have a copy of my insurance card. She said the coaches have been super nice, but the trainer... not so much. She wouldn't give her Motrin Bc she wasn't 18 and then she laughed when she ask for ice. I've already made her an appt for the day she gets...
My daughter is at camp and hit the bottom of an above ground pit. She's never used that type of pit before, but needless to say we are not impressed with them She can't put pressure on her heel and is having sharp pains. I'm not sure if it is a bone bruise or something is broke. Has anyone else...
My daughter also goes to a gym that prays at dismissal and before all meets. It's not called a "Christian" gym, just a Southern thing, I guess! That being said, the parents in the lobby do nothing but complain about the coaches. I made a bunch of parents mad by taking up for one and saying he...
I can sympathize! My DD deals with back pain & also has clear scans! It's frustrating! The only thing that helps her is daily PT exercises and visits to the Chiro for adjustments. She's tall & skinny, seems like that body type always has back pain.
My gymnast started at 12, I was worried about all of this too, but it has been no big deal :) Justice used to make narrow cut panties that were great under leotards, now we buy nude ones from VS that work well. Panty liners work great for the 1st year, after that she learned to use a tampon. Our...
We were there! I only found the scoring to be harder on beam. I also know that one girl from our gym scored significantly lower than at state bc of nerves, a very off day for her.
I was shocked at how many rough/scary bar routines I saw at Regionals. I just assumed they would all be really...
I have dealt with this for years. There is always someone in my daughters group mad that she is getting to work a new skill and always a mom mad at me and telling me she's the "favorite". It gets sooooooo old!!! I tried the whole -talk to the coach idea- and boy did that backfire on me! The...
No results are up, but Meet Integrity has a Facebook Page, maybe you can ask on there! I know one of the owners, but I hate to ask her what the deal is as I'm sure she is working her butt off right now! I want to see scores too! Our team members are all competing solo in different sessions...
My daughter would never survive gymnastics without her chiro. She is a tall, skinny, crazy flexible gymnast that deals with back pain, specific PT exercises at home and an adjustment from the chiro about every 6 weeks keeps her from hurting!!
She can tell when she needs to go too!
We love our...
