Parents Emily's Meet Yesterday and last one till March 1st...

Way to go Emily! :) A 36.4 aa is terrific... and considering she had a fall, that is really awesome! Congratulations on her two personal bests as well. 1st on floor must have been a super moment, and 4th AA is fabulous.

That was some serious background beam noise! I wonder if the girls even hear it though, they're usually so focused. I think dead silence is worse (for us moms at least!). Bars aside, Chloe did a fine job. I love her coaches motto about "experience".

    Parents Scary

Thank goodness she was OK! I'm sure that was very scary. As gym law mom wrote in her reply.... I take it upon myself to inform the coaches when my daughter is not feeling 100%. Even when she's just starting to come down with something. Hope your dd is better soon.

Parents advice for the first meet

In addition to all the great advice, I recommend bringing Tylenol (chewables and regular) in your purse. Between you, your daughter, her teammates, their families, one of her coaches... someone is bound to come down with a headache. Trust me, there's nothing worse than sitting through a long...

    Parents Jumping right in...

Just wanted to send a quick hello to the parents group here at the chalk bucket. I'm new here, but I might know some of you from other gymnastic groups.:) My daughter has been involved in team gymnastics for the last 3.5 years, and is currently in the middle of her level 6 season. I've always...

    Parents Only one event

I may be wrong, but it sounds like they are squeezing money out of you. No way would I pay for a meet, and travel 2-3 hours, for my daughter to compete one event. Did you have to pay, in advance, for all of the meets you were attending this season? By having the girls compete one event, your...
