Thats the main reason my DD wants to take a break. She doesnt get along well with some of the coaches (who HC just says they are doing their job even when i mentioned said coaches favoritism which I have seen and know DD has seen as well). She still loves gymnastics, but she states that going 3...
Well, 9yo DD wants to take a break from gym for the summer as shes having a difficult time adjusting with everything. Ill still check around on here and comment so I dont have my account deactivated. She thought we were all going to be mad at her, but I told her as long as she is happy then that...
haha, at states in March, I had to text DD's one coach who couldnt make it about that! I was so worried that she was going to sneeze at the same time as hitting the springboard or something! I had seen her sneezing right beforehand, and I was very worried if she would get a do-over or if she...
I know when I asked HC if what we were doing with DD was going to be considered "sandbagging" she said no, as DD only made it over a 34 twice, and just barely over. There were alot of times this past season where she did not place at all, so thats where the maturity comes in and working on...
My DD is going through this. We thought this the best for her. She qualified to test Lvl 4 but we wanted her to get a little more mature in her routines before moving her up. She will be uptraining Lvl 4 while perfecting her Lvl 3 routines, and will also be helping the new Lvl 3's coming from...
UPDATE::::: DD does not have Osgood-Schlatters, but a really tight quad and needs to do more quad stretching. Shes back at the gym with the gym being informed of this so they can do more stretches for her quads.
The gym is ok, other parents drop and leave, and there are no problems. DD is almost 9. If I wasnt at practice during the summer months I would either be fishing near the gym or walking through walmart, no other kids in family to impact.

Guess im gonna have to have a talk with thee DH about just dropping off, (we get there a little early) so maybe staying with her till they start, and then going somewhere and then coming back for the last few minutes. We were just worried about leaving her there, but as I am reading it looks...
DD's knee has been bothering her, and HC thinks it is probably Osgood-Schlatters. Last tues at practice DD was in tears saying her knee hurt, ice was not helping, and a wrap was not helping. We took her out for the week to give her knee a break, and tomorrow she has a dr apt. I dont think HC was...
lol...reminds me that next time DD goes to a week away gym camp that i have to put everything in its own little baggie, like shirts, shorts, pajamas, etc. Last year when she was at IGC, I saw pics of her wearing her pajamas, and the same clothes and stuff. *sigh*. I just sharpied everything...
