Thank you for your reply. She has had a rough year in terms of injuries and was on modified training for most of the year and now this diagnosis. It’s so frustrating.
My daughter was diagnosed with gymnast wrist. Is this the end of her gymnast career? She is young, only 8. She is training level 7. Looking past the fact that this will take her out of training for 2-3 months, I fear she will not be able to sustain a gymnastics career based on things I have...
Hi, does anyone have experience with prolong wrist pain after a stress reaction in the wrist. My daughter hurt her wrist 8 weeks ago and it was confirmed a stress reaction via MRI. She still is not back in Gym because she is still having wrist pain while tumbling and doing anything that...
Yes she is very muscular and strong. I know coaches are aware because they will still work sometimes in just her glide. But now that she is doing kip to cast handstand, I wonder if she won’t have good form to make an easy connection. She can do her cast handstand but they are doing it as an...
My daughter got her kip a year ago. When doing her kip, she doesn’t really glide and extend her body out before bringing her toes to the bar. She almost stays in a V shape when going the kip. She does the rest of her kip beautifully.
Does anyone explain why some children do their kip this way...
I have a family member who did this. Shewas a very talented level 8 gymnast. She was already in a decent gym, was home schooled and was receiving recognition nationally. They moved within in their home state to a bigger/better gym. A year later, the gymnast developed a huge fear and after a...

My 6 yr old is very muscular. Her coaches say that when girls are typically very muscular they are not flexible. She goes to the gym about 12 hrs weekly and I am amazed at how flexible she has become. Something's are still andcwill continue to be more difficult than her more flexible...
My daughter goes to a very well respected gym and for their own reasons they want her team scoring out now. They will not be competing level 4 at all and I trust their opinion'that my daughter is ready to compete level 5 next season. My daughter will have another 7/8 months to work on the...
Hi,
My daughter is 9 and her gym is hosting a in house meet at end of April for just her team to score out of level 4. I am just wondering if judges tend to score more generous for these types of meet. I have heard that they do, but ofcourse I am nervous for my daughter who still doesn't...
Hi,
I was hoping someone could watch a video of my daughters level 5 beam routine and help me to understand where the ductions came from.... thank you!
I know her flexiblity has shown a lot of improvement. I think her shoulders may be flexible enough as she does back walkovers, back handsprings, front handsprings, front walkovers, kip. But I really do not know how to tell, I am not well versed in Gymnanstics. I just find it odd that she can...
Yes she can hold handstand against a wall and no she is not super flexible! She has that very muscular body especially her shoulders. She is getting frustrated because she just struggles with this.
