Does it matter what meets are attended? We were informed all meets will only be in our home state due to rising gas prices. My dd will be in her second year of Level 10 so I'm concerned. Shouldn't she need to attend big meets?
Would it bother you if coaches “like” and “comment” on other gymnasts’ posts but not your gymnast? Should anything be read into it or do you think it’s just making something out of nothing?
The parents were so loud at this last meet! They were screaming right in my ear! They were acting like they were in a huge stadium, but it was a small venue..I can understand being enthusiastic for your gymmie, but have some consideration. We were on bleachers and this woman had her knee in my...
What is a kip handstand? Not a kip cast I heard of that one, but a kip handstand? Is there a difference?
On beam, is a tick tock more difficult than a BWO? Or less?
Thanks
How many times can a gymnast compete states in one season? I thought gymnasts had to wait for the next season, but I noticed a gymnast who competed with my dd (from another gym) earlier in the year, just competed states this month at a higher level.
I'm dreading the holidays because last year one of the moms collected money from me and I never saw the gift, she never let me sign the card, and when they went to give the coach the gift, they did it while my dd was in the bathroom. I and my dd were so upset. Is this a thing to go in on a group...
Asked about my dd. Was told they don't do score outs. I was hoping she could skip levels since she's pretty far ahead in skills.
What happened was she started Level 3 back in 2011 and completed Level 3 in 2012. That's when the levels changed. She was at another gym at the time. They would not...
If you were interested in other avenues like TOPS, or if your dd is already involved, how did it start? Should I say something? Or do the coaches approach the parents first most of the time? I want to know more about it, but I'm afraid to ask, but I don't want my dd to miss out if it's something...
Is there anywhere to find out what skills are required for what level? I went to the USAG website but couldn't find it if anyone has a link.,thanks in advance..
My dd's pediatrician wants to recheck her height in six months. She's concerned because she's in the 12th percentile and when she was three she was in the 50th percentile. Do you think it's anything to be concerned about? Has anyone experienced this with their gymnast?
I dont understand the deduction for time on beam. I noticed some teams all got hit for it others didn't. When I matched up videos on YouTube they had the exact same time as my dd but weren't deducted.
I hear that term used a lot that they can "burn out" but not sure what it means. Then how much is too much? When do you know? How do you know if it's happening? Some do and some don't? What are some experiences with it?
