Thank you so much for sharing this most inspiring story !!! Your persistence and commitment as a Coach to her during such a long and difficult time is equally inspiring! :)
That is such great news!!! You definitely did the right thing by following your gut and sending her to camp. It was a positive experience, her gymnastics improved, and she got her twists back. :) It is also reassuring for you and her, that the National Team Coaches weren't overly phased by her...
I have been following your posts about your daughter. I am so sorry to hear this heartbreaking news. I will pray for her recovery and that new wonderful opportunities will come your daughter's way as soon as possible to fill her void.
The benefit of attending the developmental camps is to prepare gymnasts for Hopes, and then hopefully onto Elite. Not all gyms and coaches can do it without the expertise of the National Staff , and most gymnasts and athletes get better when they are training with peers that are similar or...
Heartbreaking to hear your family's situation. Your letter is beautiful and I think it will help many people. I hope Hannah finds another passion soon. She has an amazing mom and I have no doubt her future will be filled with happiness and success!
Thank you for updating about your daughter! I am so glad she still had hope , it is very inspiring to hear how so many things seem to be changing for her for the better! Good luck it sounds like this program will work out well for her. :)
I am so sorry to hear this. I remember how hard she was working this summer too. The back to back injuries are just heartbreaking and frustrating. There will be a silver lining and good things will be in her future, she certainly deserves the best.
It sounds like she is motivated to keep working through and she can definitely work on her no handed skills and leaps and dance during this time. She can also stay well conditioned by staying in gym and remain part of the team. I would keep her in the gym while she is healing especially because...
I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's injury right before meet season after all she has been through. My daughter missed one season due to injury. Your strength and optimism is amazing. It is during these times that we remember gymnastics is much more then the competitions. The gym is...
Wow reading your post really puts a rough day in perspective for me. I am so sorry for what your daughter is going through and I hope you get answers very soon. Hopefully when she sees the pulmonologist the respiratory issues will turn around and resolve. Your daughter is inspiring many with her...
It is not abnormal from my experience. For my daughter that just creates anxiety. Positive reinforcement works the best. I would talk to the coach about that approach especially if you can see at home that your daughter is upset or increasingly stressed.
I agree. Is your daughter ok with switching ? It sounds like she realizes her current gyms limitations and that she was really excited about her progress at camp. If she is open to switching then the toughest part is actually really behind you! :)
