Once rip heals - buff down caluses, put a few drops vitamin E oil & soft, fingerless gloves to sleep in every night - since we started doing this, DD has had no rips
I made thermos w/ downloaded gym logo & put a Starbucks GC inside one time for holiday gifts - went over well & you can get them done at Walgreens online
As a parent that gets the "frustration" part - I totally see where you are coming from & have reacted the very same way :) it's just different parenting styles, in my book. I think if I acted like it was no big deal, my DD would prob wonder why I stopped caring about her! It's a balancing act-...
This one hurts me just to read it. And it's a feeling that all moms can understand. You will know in your heart if the day comes when it's just too much but until then, be strong for her and for yourself. I have to remind myself that, for my gymnast, the time she gets to spend flipping and...
I would look at it this way- you learn about gymnastics when you start going to meets (just watching practice doesn't teach you much about how much your daughter will like the competition part of gymnastics or if she really does have a knack for it or if you want to go the distance in this...

The variables for a college scholarship may be numbereous, but if that is a goal that one may be aspiring for for their gymnast, I believe you can attempt to forge a path in that direction with careful planning, healthy behavior, open communication & positive feedback - a parent will not be able...
Take her somewhere else. There are all sorts of bodies doing gymnastics and there are all sorts of coaches/ you just happened upon one that isn't a good fit for your girl. I'm sure you can find a more welcoming environment at another gym.
