    WAG Xcel Entry Requirements

Am I understanding correctly that a gymnast who has competed USAG Level 3 Compulsories last season must enter into the Xcel program in Gold or can they do Silver?

    WAG AAU vs USAG

What is the difference in competing compulsories through AAU vs USAG? I've noticed more & more gyms competing AAU when we go to meets.

Coaches Opinions about starting an Xcel program

Currently, our gym only offers compulsories and lower level optionals. We are a "brand new to competing" program so our girls just haven't worked their way up to the higher levels yet. A lot of our girls are also what most gyms would consider older or too old to begin competing. We are...

    WAG Leotards & Warm Ups

I guess this may be answered mostly by coaches, but parents feel free to jump in with info & opinions too. We are changing our team leos & warm ups this next season. It makes me sad because I LOVE our current leo! It's our second year with that one though so it's time for a change. So my...

    Coaches Defiant Gymnast

A bit of a long one here... I have a bit of a rant but am also looking for a little bit of advice. I have a 13 year old gymnast who is doing her first year of competition. She had 1 year of rec class before that. She was a polite, hard-working kid that showed a lot of potential when in rec. Her...

    WAG Manhattan Classic in NYC

Has anyone here had a gymnast compete in the Manhattan Classic in New York City? I would just like some thoughts & opinions on how you thought the meet was....organized, fun, worth the travel expense? I do not live in that region but am considering the meet for some optional level gymnasts...

    Coaches Help with clear hips!

I have several gymnasts training clear hips right now & one of them is struggling. We are in a small gym with a very limited amount of mats & one set of bars so I'm limited on drills. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
