I don't think the fact they have brought in a minimum qualifying score or the actually score is the issue, it is the timing plus lack of clarity.

Couldn't agree more. The rules were published on 12th December, if you haven't met this requirement whether it is due to injury or age, there are no options to try to meet it.

She has qualified to the British, she last competed in the British in 2017 but under the new rules needs to have competed at the British in 2018 or 2019 as well.
