I agree, I would move the board back to cue her for a longer reach. If you want to move her to gold next year I wouldn't work too hard to get rid of the height -- she's going to need it!
I agree with the split handstand on beam for lower levels. Training a partial handstand actually makes it harder for them to learn to get vertical, in my opinion. I want them to learn to get a higher kick from the beginning.
Level 5 beam dismount should be a cartwheel (or backwalkover)...
