Me, two brothers, my parents and my husband’s family all live an hour away from each other. We also all live in the Houston area.

Some of my girls do a side start full turn. One of them saw it at a meet and they wanted to try it. I was surprised how well it worked for a few of them.

I make my girls routinely switch beams. If I notice that they keep trying to go to the same beam, I ban them from it for two weeks. I tell them “There isn’t a single beam in this gym that I am going to stick in my car and take to the meet.”

But part of competition fees are coaches expenses. If they fired the coaches and canceled the season, what happened to that money?

Did they refund any of the competition fees? That seems like a case for theft if kept the money.

When I was a team coach there we had the same size girls team as boys team.

I am going to have my girls without a high bar kip do cast back hip, cast back hip, squat on.

This year I have 2 bar settings, fig and big. Next year I will have a ton of little girls that have to catch the high bar, so I will also have a little. No coach enjoys setting the bars a lot but my girls’ safety it the most important.

We never put our girls in white. Don’t these coaches remember being a teenage girl?

I think that it would count. I have one girl that does round off/bhs/bhs for her first pass and round off/ bhs for her second pass.

I have never heard of averaging vault scores in lower levels.

I love Flipfest. I am taking my girls week 7 and my son is taking his boys week 3. We work at different gyms and it is the first time that we have gone different weeks. I love that there are so many activities besides gymnastics. This will be my 13th year taking gymnasts.

It is a 34 for Regionals, it is a 20 for State.

It is a 34 to qualify to regionals for Gold. I believe that it is a 9 on the event if you specialize. You must tell them in advance if you are competing as an event specialist.

I was hopeful that my son would be able to compete at HNI this weekend but due to some injuries, he is ready. I will be there coaching my girls.

If there are enough upset parents can you get a few to carpool? If you only had to drive one or two nights a week, would changing gyms be an option?

I had a Platinum warming up at State with the 1/2 turn and was told by a judge that it didn’t count. I taught her a sole circle fast. No one caught it all season. At the coaches’ meeting the rest of the weekend, they warned everybody.

Underswing and sole circle are the other two that I use.
