Is there any proven benefits to a trampoline e.g stronger legs, developing fast twitch muscle fibre or increased height in jumps?

Thank you for the reply, no these are real issues for me unfortunately. Yes quite a few bits have been tailored slightly to remain anonymous but the main bones of the story are there.

Level 10 mom, thank you so much. That's what I need to hear. I hope you are doing ok. It's so hard, we have some equipment here & the stretching bands & mats & I am guilty of getting her to work at home... I guess the jealousy is the hardest thing manage as it does turn into a mom comp as well...

Parents Child in DDs age group passed her out skill & performance wise, coach playing favorites

Why would you think I'm a troll. My daughter is a young gymnast & I was looking for advice on best practice for me as I wasn't liking the road I was heading down... I took the advice & stopped attending the practices, deep down I knew myself that was for the best, I was just afraid she would...

I just feel she could have been given a mention too, she performed so we'll yesterday. Just odd to exclude her & focus on her team mate.

To be completely honest my daughter was the social media star up until about a month ago & I guess I am a bit put out that her 3rd place yesterday wasn't even mentioned... There was 23 kids in the comp. There was plenty of pics of both girls together, 2nd & 3rd is a great achievement for the...

To be honest I thought my daughter deserved a mention too, they are same level & age group. There was only 0.25 between 2nd (jess) & my daughter who finished 3rd, there was plenty of pics of the two of them but they chose to share just Jess... As hubby said they want to promote their future...

So anyways thought all was well & so forth, however the clubs social media has only featured the other little girls achievement & none of my dd's. Lots of pics of Jess & group pics with Jess & on her own. Also congratulating her on her 2nd place all around, no mention of my dd's 3rd...

Just wanted to post a quick update & say DD had her competition today, it was a tough one but she came 3rd in the all around & Jess came 2nd. She's delighted & the top 3 also got bears so she's thrilled! Jess was fantastic today but DD was also brilliant. I did my best to cheer on & tried not to...

Thank you for the post, I'm going to have to reread this whole thread & get more perspective, the advice has been brilliant & I really appreciate it. DD has seemed fine & happy in practice without me. Last night's went well & she was very happy to chat about it. She was delighted with the praise...

Yes I really do I don't want to miss this weekends meet as it's her last in her current age group & level, it has crossed my mind to stay away but I don't want to miss her competing especially as I have it requested off work.... she's competing against the other girl. I'd like to see her...

Momnipotent, thank you so much for posting this, it's exactly what I need to be reminded of... I'm feeling anxious about dd's meet this weekend, I find it so hard to back off & not interfere or sideline coach... I haven't gone to her last 3 training sessions & I must admit it's a bit liberating...

Thanks gymx2, I guess I feel she works harder & is less likely to mess around or skip stations if she knows I'm there. Coach gives them alot of individual stations to work on while she focuses on individual skill development

Thank you for your honesty, I guess my main thing is that this little kid has passed her out skill wise & in the pecking order, I'm following all the advice on here but my worry is that by backing away & being clueless to what's happening, will she disimprove or not excel as quick as she would...

Thanks, it's so hard going from being so over involved to cold turkey.. I keep reminding myself that it's better for her in the long run but it's really hard. I just hope that this will help her improve & she doesn't underperform as I can't reinforce or remind her of what she needs to do..

Everyone who took time to reply I am so grateful, I knew myself I was entertaining dangerous territory... I stayed away from yesterdays practice & when I asked her her corrections when she came home she was so vague & not specific & forgot some that it didn't sit well with me & I'm worried about...
