Y'all she quit. She thought about it (and I mean thought about it), weeks and weeks of Deciding. For those of you who don't know, she has a stress fracture in her back and this is why she quit. She was so good, she tried so hard at every practice, and she got so far. And shes so sad. Gymnastics...
I need help... I'm 15, I am a gymnast, and I have worked super hard to be where I am right now. I'm proud of all my accomplishments and I proved to myself through this sport that I truly can do anything I put my effort towards. But, there's a down side... First lets go way back. I started...
Hey all!
So DD is training Platinum and bars is her weakest event. She has a clear hip and is working connecting the kip to it (but shes lacking power). Anyway, she rips every. Single. Time. She does bars. I am not even exaggerating. I don't know what to do. She wants to train them and she...
Ok, I have dreaded this one. LOTS and LOTS of mixed answers. My DD is a super hard working, determined, hard headed gal. She knows what she wants and she gets it. She takes everything she does seriously; gymnastics and she coaches gymnastics. She coaches for her gym and they said that she is...
DD LOVES Plum Practice wear. They are so soft, comfortable, and cute. She's tried GK but she says that Plum is just more comfortable for the longer training hours.
Yeah, that makes sense. Do you have any tips for the drop kips (like how to shift the wrists faster)? DD really struggles with shifting her wrists on the drop kips. She's done so many attempts but she's never made one. :(
That makes sense! I guess she really needs to work on conecceted kips without her feet touching. Unfortunately, we don't have a strap bar but that does make sense for the fear factor. Thanks! :)
Honestly she hasn't even practiced connected kips (maybe once or twice). The times that she did them her feet did hit the floor, except for one time. Her struggle on the last clear kip, kip was her not extending in the glide from the clear hip. So she had no power to kip from that. Thanks for...
Ok, so DD is 16 and she wants to get to Excel Platinum. She is not confident in her bars at all... says its her weakest event. She needs to get her clear hip to a kip consistent before she can move up (hoping to move up this season). As of right now, she is doing the clear hip from standing on...
