WAG Bull City Gymnastics Coach Found “Not Guilty” for Sex Crimes Against Minors

Ridiculous to say that they touch their private areas everyday, while shaping....!!!!!! Like who does that? No coach I know. I'm sure that every coach that is a good spotter and spots a lot has the occasional slip up. I spot a lot, so yes it, rarely, does happen, but if its going on all of the...

    Coaches Appropriate leveling?

Big topic I know. Being old...lol... 65, and having coached forever, I have experienced many situations. For myself, I was D-1 gymnast, back in the day, however, times are much different. Obviously it's gotten extremely more competitive. I look at kids through my own personal lens, which is...

    Parents Let’s discuss technique!

I am loving this....:) I had some really great technicians for coaches back in the day... and so I coach the same way. As an old coach... really old ( 65) I've gotten laughed at for trying to teach things that no one uses anymore...LOL... But I do this for a reason.... especially on bars. Kids...

Anon What level do you actually need talent to be a competitive gymnast?

Having coached for years and years, I feel like I could write a book on this topic...lol. I agree with all of the responses too, so maybe I am just being redundant. Myself, I have six really athletic kids, and my nephew competed for Penn State, won the Big 10, one year, and also tried out for...

WAG Holding ending pose for three seconds?!?

Having done college gym, D 1, a hundred years ago, lol.... I always have my gymnasts hold their ending. I think it just sets a better tone for the entire routine....

That sounds very reasonable... we just have parents that want their kids to move up every year.

    Coaches Lets be honest

Firstly I am an old coach....LOL...heading towards 65. I had some really great, and fairly well known technicians in my life as coaches. I coach the same way and think in that same way.... old school...:) I have a mixed review kind of question. I am of the belief that to stay in JO, you have to...

    Coaches ADHD gymnast

LOL I wouldn't know. I feel like there are probably many kids with this issue....but I feel very responsible as a coach, to keep her safety as a priority.

    Coaches ADHD gymnast

Thats a good point...not using the term overmedicated, because she may not actually be overmedicated.... but something isn't right.

    Coaches ADHD gymnast

We have a young gymnast at our gym. She's quite physically talented. She is on ADHD meds, I believe she said 2 times a day. I sometimes feel like she could be overmedicated, as she can be very spacey, as I call it, and also extremely tired acting. She is mostly like this towards the end of a...
