Got videos today! My coach first teaches bent leg front giants to an uprise, which is the first clip. The second is a clip of me peeling... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6cSfbWuv1w&feature=youtu.be
My front giants have actually been a lot better the past two days. Yesterday I only peeled once into the pit, and today I did not peel at all and actually made a set of 3 front giants. I am not sure what I'm doing differently, but whatever it is it seems to be working!
My music the past 2 years was Dirty Orchestra, and all my teammates loved it! I also really like seniorita, explosive, Tosca fantasy, burlesque, hip hop violin, and fanfare
I have been working on front giants for a few weeks now, and I keep peeling off of the bar. I know it is normal to do this a couple of times when first learning, but I peel the majority of the time. I usually peel off right under the bar, and then I land on my stomach on the mat/pit. Does...
The tuck full is what I have been working on. Yes, me and my coach have discussed it and I am going to keep trying the kaz but continue to work yurchenko drills. I was just wondering if anyone knew any good drills or if there was a particular vault that would work best for me, but I guess the...
I am hopefully going to compete level 9 next season, but I am not sure which vault I should train. Last year, I competed a tuck tsuk (level 8) and did really well with it. My coach has had all the girls my level begin to train yurchenko's. All of my teammates are already flipping into the...
What lots of people do for wrist rips is to tape a balloon to your rip, and then put your wrist bands over that. I've done it before and it really helps!! And you can tear a small peice of a pit block and tape that to your rip too, but it doesn't work nearly as good as the balloons do. I also...
This was a pretty rough season for me, as I was battling injuries the whole way through. My highlight was definitly the Sweetheart meet. I won vault at that meet, got 2nd on bars and floor, and 3rd in the AA. It was my only meet that I scored over a 34 AA. At the meet after that one, I...
I am going, with my team, to Woodward this summer. It is my first time going...can anyone tell me what to expect? On the day that they do evaluations, what do you have to show them? I am worried for that, because I "forgot" how to twist on floor and am having problems with it, so I don't want...
I am going to Woodward for the first time this year! I am really excited and I can not wait to go! We have about 30 girls from my team that are going...I think it is week 2, but I could be wrong!
During meets, I always shake really bad on beam. This makes it very difficult for me to keep moving throughout my routine without wobbling a lot. I didn't connect my series or my dance series at the last meet because I was so nervous. Does anyone have any special little tricks to help with this?
My first level 8 meet was last weekend.
Vault: I competed a tucked tsuk and over rotated and fell...but still got an 8.3
Bars: Hit my feet really hard after pirouette, so they took a fall. 6.2
Beam: Didn't connect series and fell on series. 7.6
Floor: 8.85 :)
AA: 30.95
I still need to qualify to...
I have not been on Chalk Bucket for a few months...I have missed it here!! :) I am back now, thankfully!
Anyways, I have my first level 8 competition January 8th. I am pretty nervous! I dont think I am going to score very well...I am not 100% ready. I still need to be ready for the landing...
