Does anyone know the value of handspring front vault ?
And, does this count as different vault from a tsuk vault ?

We now have three comps back to back, busy, busy October.
Still waiting for new leos to arrive ! Girls really hoping they arrive for the weekend.

For years I have moaned about the early 8am comp starts, and today we have a 4.45pm start and Im moaning about that too lol
too long to wait with nerves !! mine not Dds, she is more worried about when she is going to eat !
A few months ago my dd took part in a voluntary comp. She had a great comp went clean and did really well. She did not medal.
After the comp she looked really disappointed, so I questioned her and the issue was that she knew and felt she did well and was disappointed not to have placed. We...
DD is competing her front on beam for first time tomorrow.....eeeek .
Was going to do flick-tuck as well, but this has been removed as still using a mat. So that's one less thing to worry about.
I will pass the camcorder to dad and close my eyes !!
Hello, how many comps do your gymmies compete in a year on average ?.
DD did 6 last year, which seems a small amount compared to our US friends. Think there may be a few more this year.
Was quite a nice number as seemed a good balance between training new skills and practising routines.
My dd competed UK National Grade 8 and passed woo hoo. The R & C was not the best, did not hold splits, and had to restart, very wobbly, passed just.
My question is to those who have to take R & C is this an integral part of the gymnasts training, ie included in their normal program or is it...
Do you have a particular skill that you see in the gym and think to yourself I really don't want my child to do that skill ?
I was watching a girl do a yurchenko vault last week, and it just looked to me to be the most unnatural thing in the world, and my instant thought was eek I don't want dd...
Hello
I wonder if you lovely people can assist....
DD is learning flicks on beam, however her flick from standing is not looking good, so is learning back walkover, flick to one and tick tock flick to two. She needs the extra momentum. All the other girls in her group are doing standing...
I don't post too often, more of a lurker lol.
Am very proud of dd this year, for those who know the UK system, dd has just competed grade 12, which she passed with a distinction and qualified for regional finals. Did great and came 9th overall, shock fall on bars (normally her strongest...
My daughter is off to Easter Camp in a weeks time. This is held at her gym so she will be a non resident and will get a reduction in fees due to that.
Camps do not seem to be popular here in the UK, however I notice from a lot of the threads that there are many in USA. I am curious as to how...
My daughter will be doing county grade 13 uk next weekend :)
Nervous as its her 1st grade competition, and 1st time competing outside her gym.
Some fairies would be good, vault ones especially :D

A quick question, picked dd up from gym and managed a quick chat with coach re upcoming competition. DD struggling with vault, I ask coach will she be competing handstand flatback or handspring on vault. Coach responded with OMG her handstand flatback is rubbish, but her handspring over the...
Hi there
My 8 year old currently trains 6 hours per week and is in pre-squad type class I think !!.
The gym that she attends has a good program for the rec girls, that is they have awards to aim for and know what skills are required to obtain a pass, distinction, bronze etc. The elites are...
