Parents Clothing for tween gymnast body

My daughter is a little older but just wanted to say that jean styles are becoming baggier which would work for muscular legs. She might have luck with dad jeans from hollister. Hollister also has some cropped oversized t shirts and hoodies which won't be overly cropped on your daughter. Tilly's...

    WAG Level 9 Beam Series

Yes, that would be an acceptable series. Back tuck back handspring could be another option. With any of these, the biggest challenge is to keep it moving so you don't break the connection.

    Parents Question about judging favoritism?

If music fails, it's up to the coach to decide whether or not an athlete repeats her routine. If she decides to go again the second score counts. Perhaps your daughter had a good routine despite the music problem? Don't concern yourself with other athletes or placements It sounds like your...

    Parents Rope climb help

She'll get it then. It's probably just a coordination thing. Since she's strong, once she figures it out she'll be to the top in no time. Her coach will help her. Sit back and enjoy watching her work through the challenge. It's a great lesson in perseverance.

WAG Weight Gain and how to "address" it with DD

I agree, it is very normal. However, the sudden change in eating habits raise some red flags for me. If coaches are commenting on the weight gain, it could be that the gymnast is developing some unhealthy eating habits as a result of always thinking about food and what she shouldn't be eating.

WAG Weight Gain and how to "address" it with DD

Don't address it. However, I wonder why, all of a sudden, as a senior, is there a change in eating habits and weight gain? Does she have a supportive coach and a healthy gym environment?

WAG I'd like to cut floor music again!

I've also purchased a piece that I could use help cutting. I think it will be a challenge but I'd love your help!

WAG Question about BWO in Level 5 beam routine

If her other events are strong, she should be able to omit the skill and still score out of 5, provided her coach will allow that.

    WAG Region 5.....

Top 8 per age group. Age groups should be determined this week now that all states in region 5 are finished their state meets. Age groups are according to the regional meet and may differ slightly from the state meet. Gyms will be notified of regional teams.

    WAG Tim Rand Invitational, FL

We loved it! The outdoor pool area at the Hilton was great. There was outdoor shopping and dining right across the street. And we did make it to the ocean as well. The meet ran very smoothly and the girls had fun. I'd definitely recommend it.

Our gymnasts are super excited about the Twister bucks! We have a little bit of down time so trying to decide if we should plan an outing or just hang out at the pool. Not everyone has seen the ocean before, so we will check that out.

Has anyone been to this meet? We're headed there in less than two weeks and would love any tips or ideas on things to do with our team while we're there.

    WAG Upgrades

That's an impressive upgrade for a level 7! Every now and then, I see one in level 8, but not often. For us, it's common to continue to work upgrades all year long but routines come first during our competitive season. The more proficient you are with routines, the more time you have for...

Parents Where in USA to buy slim/ long pants for dd?

Abercrombie. If she's a size 8, other than length, a size 10 slim should work. I would recommend the jean legging. They're not as fitted as they used to be, but still a a nice slim fitting jean.

    Trainings been rough for Alex...

I think she looks great. But, truth is, it doesn't matter what I, or anyone else, thinks, it's what she believes. I know she has a lot of up and coming gymnasts in her gym and, speaking from experience, it's very hard to be one of the older athletes watching the excitement surrounding these...

Spidertech brand makes a "gentle" line for sensitive skin. It may be worth a try if you can get that in Australia.
