    MAG Surgery Update

After 3 hand specialists, we are 100% sure of what's going on. He chipped a bone in his wrist and now it floats. Dr. Thinks it MAY be fine to leave it the way it is, IF we can get the pain to go away. He said many people are fine with floating bone fragments ( I doubt gymnasts!) so...

Hi guys:). I'm currently sitting in a hospital bed typing this haha. I got my appendix taken out 2 nights ago. They're saying I might need to take a month or a month and a half off. Would this make me lose any skills? I'm level 5 and would be okay to go in to just condition? I'm dieting without...

I have been a gymnast for a couple of years I'm not that elite but I'd like to be. In september of 2011 I got a cyst on my wrist. I stuck through the pain so I would be able to do gymnastics and I finally went to the doc and they drained it. A couple months ago I got another one on the same...

    Parents Ganglion cyst surgery?

Has anyone had any experience with ganglion cyst surgery and whether or not it was successful in getting rid of reducing the severe pain associated with it? My 11 year L5 gymnast has had wrist pain for 2 years. 3 months ago she stopped tumbling, vaulting and unevens. She has been working on...

    Spine surgery update...

I came back home and my doctor said I needed surgery. I have grade 4 (the highest it goes before your vertebra falls off) spondylolisthesis which is no fun at all. So I'm just lying at my mommy's in the scenic Colorado mountains... in bed watching everyone else hike and raft and bike. Oh well...

Em needs more surgery on her knee!

Haven't been around much for several weeks. Between work, gym and Em's school it's been crazy in our house. Poor Em has continued to have a lot of pain in her knee, and she and her coach finally decided there would be no more competing this year, and Em would ease up for a bit and see if her...

Medical question re: pain (or complete lack thereof) after surgery

Ok, so. Back in august, I underrotated a double layout on floor and overshot the mat I was supposed to land on, landing right on the edge. One foot was forced up much further than it was supposed to go. Went to the emergency room, yadda yadda yadda, stayed off it for several months but...
