Its not the snap over that bothers me, it's the jumping back part . Does any one have any tips or drills??

Are you enrolled in a gymnastics class somewhere where a coach can teach and spot you? Or do you have access to an open gym where an experienced instructor can help you?

Yes, of course.

Didn't want to assume.

--anyway, i would recommend lots of back limbers and back walkovers to gain comfort going backwards.

--Jump back drill to a flat lying position on a resi.

--Spotted BHS focusing on the jump back w/ coach stopping you in tight arch handstand.

-- conditioning... push-ups, v-ups, etc. until you feel comfortable that you are strong enough to catch yourself after you jump.

-- a ritual so that you have a pattern to follow and cannot just stand there and not go. For our new girls working bhs we say "stretch, squeeze, go"

Good Luck.
