Proud Parent
anyone have experience recovering from a L5 pars defect (stress fracture)?

Just wondering,
Thanks.

DD had bilateral stress reactions of the L5. It was diagnosed in late December, resulting in her missing her competition season completely. She was braced for 3.5 months and then had a ton of PT and a very, very gradual return to gym. Her PT and her coaches were in constant communication. A lot of the recovery was re-learning what muscles to use for skills and landings as well as how to breathe. She can no longer do bridges or BWO/FWO. She did make a complete recovery and has not had issues with spondy since then - just over 2 years ago.

Many, many posts about that injury here. Use the search bar to help. Mine was one of the not so positive stress fracture experiences. 13 years old, spinal fusion, never able to return to gym, and many other sports.
