Hi everyone,

I am a rec coach at a small gym where my daughter is on team. The gym is young, only 18 months under the current ownership. The previous owners sold the gym with all the equipment included. They were not completely honest about the condition and quality of the equipment. The old gym was mainly a boys team gym and a T and T gym, so the girls equipment is somewhat dated (as in 30 years old or more). In the past week, our uneven bars have loosened twice during practice when girls jump from low to high bar or are attempting their flyaways. We are in desperate need of new equipment, but the cost is high. Do you know of reputable sites in which quality, used equipment can be purchased? We are working on a gofundme (stupid COVID closures drained the equipment fund) and hoping to get a little replaced at a time. Any direction, ideas are welcomed.
Thanks.

You could call other gyms in the area to see if they are upgrading and wanting to sell some of their current equipment. Also, the equipment companies that set up at meets. They routinely have equipment they sell and often times it is "like new"

Equipment is expensive and worth it. Find a way to get the good stuff. Get the parents to fundraise... also... charge an "equipment fee" on seasonal fees.
