Hi I am a xcel gymnast, I want to be a college gymnast. Is any way to become a college gymnast through the xcel program without switching to jo?

There have been a few gymnasts who have gone onto D3 teams from xcel Diamond but the skills have to be on par to Level 9/10 in JO. This is not typical though. Usually these gymnasts are event specialists (ex -superb Vault). Club gymnastics has a wide variation of skill levels and many come from xcel. You would need to research individual schools for this. If you are a good tumbler, you could also look into Acrobatics & tumbling college teams as well

Is there anyway that I can be a d2 team?

There are only a few D2 teams and they are all looking for successful L10 gymnasts. Again, if you are a stellar event specialist (competitive at the L10 equivalent), then that might change.

In theory... sure. In reality... no.

In theory... if you have big enough skills that are done really well... then sure.

In reality... most college coaches are going to pick the equivalent DP (JO) gymnast before you. Xcel does not provide the competition that the DP program does. DP scoring is different too.
