Any ideas for fixing a crooked backhandspring on beam ... leans to left swinging into it and turning over.

this will sound funny...have her lean and go crooked to the right. sometimes, you have to do things wrong...or wrong the other way in order for the athlete to feel what it is they are doing. 
How old, what level, how does it look on the floor, is that on her own or with a spot? I find that usually comes from girls that are afraid. See if she isn't looking over her shoulder instead of straight back. They tend to do that so they can see the beam sooner, but it makes for a crooked BHS. Let us know, and good luck.
