Coaches Employee Tardiness & Discipline

Hey guys, if we had an owners forum that is where this would go, however I am having some trouble with my coaches being late, not setting up, etc. We don't really have extra coaches just sitting around to take those classes either. So what are some of your gym's rules on tardiness & what disciplines are given when it happens? We currently have nothing implemented.

Communication to trump discipline.

Chat to them about the reality of their coming late. Parents paying for lessons that start late, get annoyed and pull their kids out and then the coaches job is lost.

Adding up the and what could be happening for those kids in that time.

Ask them what is going on and why they are strutting arrive in time, perhaps the time of their shift needs to be changed.

Make sure they understand that their paid shift doesn’t begin until they arrive.

So what are some of your gym's rules on tardiness & what disciplines are given when it happens?

We don’t really have any discipline for this. We have a chat server that we use for our staff… so if they are going to be late they need to post in in there so everyone knows. The other coaches have to pick up the slack for the person that is late… so it rarely happens.

If someone was habitually tardy… they would just be replaced.
