I need to decide what music to use for my floor routine next year. I am an older level 7 gymnast, and I don't want anything slow, or more for younger gymnasts. I want something fast (upbeat), and that you can do fun dance to. Something not to repetitive. I want something that I can really get in to and that "will make me fly". I am a better tumbler than dancer, not to graceful. Please listen to the listed songs and tell me which one you think would be best. I am open to other suggestions. If you can't listen to all of them please listen to the ones with the star * and tell me what you think. If you can tell me the name of the two I don't know it would be appreciated. Most of them are on floor express (which now has full demos for free). Thankyou.

Sorry for being so long.

omg!! atlanta and heaven is a place were my 2 favorites!! but my coach didn't like them for me so i have to find something else :( personally i like croatian rhapsody best

Man, I really wish my soundcard was working right now.

Soon as I get my new system completely up to speed, I'll go through these and identify as many as I can.

These are the 2 that DD and I like best. Croatian Rhapsody & Apasionada.

What I usually tell my DD to do is put them on your ipod or mp3 or whatever you use to listen to music on. Then listen to them over and over and see which 1 or 2 stick then check with whoever is writting your routine what they think works for you.

By the way DD does not need a new routine this year but absolutley love the first one i put it in our music folder fr next years listening.

Good luck choosing is always hard.

I liked "Croatian Rhapsody", the 4th one and "heaven is a place"
Good luck on finding your music

The other unidentified piece (Miranda Meyer) is a variation of Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor (1st movement).

From your description of your strengths, I'd rule out Croatian Rhapsody, Atlanta, and Butterfly Dance. I'd also rule out Gypsy Rhapsody (the previously identified piece) because it's horrendously overused in my area. Apasionada and the Grieg piece would be my picks for a fun and not too dance-y routine.

I really like Alice in Wonderland. It's very dramatic. Let us know what you decide!

Hmmmm In my opinion I think the Alice in wonderland and Requiem for a dream is perfect for dramatic music. & I love Crotian Rhapsody. Good luck & I Hope you found a great gymnastics floor music! :)

If you look at the top of the thread you will see that this thread is almost 1 1/2 years old, and is probably no longer relevant to the poster. Please refrain from posting in old threads. Thanks
