WAG Floor music

If I wanna do a contemporary style floor routine, is it okay to choose like slow dramatic music? Or do judges prefer upbeat happy music?

I don’t really think it matters. Choose whatever floor music you like. One of my teammates has a slow, dramatic, creepy floor music, and she scored high, and I saw the judge mouth that it was her favorite routine, so I don’t think the judges have that much of a preference

Judges like routines that gymnasts enjoy performing. Whatever style best suits you is what you should do!

The best music is one that you can relate too and get into.

If you enjoy the music and can connect to it, the judges will enjoy watching you, no matter what their preferences are.

The best floor music should
1) Be something you enjoy that makes you want to dance
2) Something you will still enjoy on the 1000th listen
