That is so cool.
It is actually quite common that athletes transition to bobsledding from another sport especially athletics.
In germany there is a women who competed in the 100m/200m Sprint in Tokyo this summer and is the reigning German champion for the 100m. She will be competing Beijing in bobsledding. Those will be her second Olympics in the same year. Considering she only started training bobsledding in September this is a huge achievement.
