WAG Hair Help Please!

I have my first competition of the season on Saturda!. My only problem is my hair. I cannot figure out a way to pin it up. It is a little shorter than chin length, and very wavy, with alot of short layers. This makes a PERFECT canvas for meet hair!!!Does anyone have any tips as to how to put this up? It's a little long for half up/half down, as it still flies in my face. Note: it does not go into any sort of ponytail, not without tons of hair being left out.

Can you do three or four French braids back to pick up the shorter hair and gather the rest into a ponytail?

You can also possibly straighten it and try to do something?

Honestly i am so bad at hair and I could do this! It is so much easier than the finished product looks!
