Do you know the reasoning for the "1 second" pose? Is it so judges know that is the end of the routine? It’s 0.05 if don’t hold 1 second. But some coaches may tell their kids longer to make sure they hold it.
Yes, so judges and timers know when routine ends.Do you know the reasoning for the "1 second" pose? Is it so judges know that is the end of the routine?
Having done college gym, D 1, a hundred years ago, lol.... I always have my gymnasts hold their ending. I think it just sets a better tone for the entire routine....I am hearing rumblings of a deduction on floor if you don’t hold your ending pose for three seconds. Really?!? I would like to know what the actual rule is. All I have been able to find is .5 if you don’t hold for one second. Thanks
There’s no deduction because it’s not required. They only need to hold for one second. My daughter's coaches tell them they have to hold it for 3 seconds, not sure what the deduction is.
I'm pretty sure for optional (Level 6-10) don't have to for tumbling passes. You do have to hold your finishes for your routine though. It's a flat tenth 0.1 off.I am hearing rumblings of a deduction on floor if you don’t hold your ending pose for three seconds. Really?!? I would like to know what the actual rule is.
