[SIZE=-1][FONT=Tahoma,Arial,Helv]Tim Rand, former owner of American Twisters in Coconut Creek, passed away on August 20, 2007 of cardiac arrest. Tim was devoted to his family and a dedicated gymnastics coach, administrator and educator. Tim trained and developed many USA National Team members at the elite and the Junior Olympic Level. He and his athletes represented the U.S. in many international competitions. Tim, and his wife Toni, were great educational ambassadors for the U.S., providing education for coaches, judges and athletes in other countries. They were honored with the distinguished Women's Program Service Award at National Congress. Tim was world renowned for his expertise, passion and enthusiasm for gymnastics. While serving as a member of the Junior Olympic Committee, Tim was instrumental in designing the Women's Junior Olympic Compulsory Exercises. He was a highly acclaimed clinician who has most recently lectured at USA Gymnastics Regional Congresses. [/FONT][/SIZE]
