My rips keep getting infected. I don't use grips, I prefer bare bar. When I have one I just chalk it thick so it doesn't hurt. What could I do to prevent infection?

I would suggest some type of antibacterial ointment on the rip when not at practice along with washing your hands shortly after you are done with bars. Another thing that might help is having it covered during practice as it should help prevent bacteria from getting into the rip. Best of luck.
